Here is
information about the fields (features) on the Study Content
screen.

Study
Content
|
The name of
this page.
|
Add
Button
|
Click to
search for instruments you can add to your
study.
|
Save
Button
|
Saves any
changes you make to your study content.
|
Create
Button
|
Click to
create a new, custom instrument.
|
Order
|
Used to order
the instruments in a study. Enter values into each text field to
arrange instruments in the list.
|
+/-
Box
|
The plus
sign/minus sign box allows you to display all the items and their
responses in an instrument. Click on the plus sign to see all items
of an instrument. Click again (on the minus sign) to close the list
of items and only display the instrument name.

Name
|
The name of an
instrument.
|
Administration
Study
|
The name of
the study from which the instrument originated.
|
Customize
|
Click on this
hyperlink to view how an instrument’s items have been customized
for data collection.

If an
instrument has previously been administered, the instrument
customization page will default to the administration study’s
instrument customization properties. It is important to
carefully consider instrument customization changes as any changes
may effect instrument validity.

If the
instrument has never been administered the instrument customization
page will appear with system defaults. This is applicable
when a new instrument has been created within your study. You
will most likely make changes to system defaults. Any changes
you make to a new instrument’s customization will follow the
instrument in Assessment Center as the default
customization.

Pview
|
Click on this
hyperlink to view what an instrument looks during data
collection.
You
can:

Preview
the items in order
·
Simulate
instrument administration with customized settings
·
View
the details of instrument execution, e.g. response
score

To ensure
items do not get truncated when simulating administration within
Preview, maximize the pop-up screen.

Properties
|
Displays the
properties (e.g. description) for an instrument. Clicking on this
hyperlink will display the Instrument Properties
page.

Statistics
|
This hyperlink
will display the statistics established for this
instrument.

Instruments
require a status of Public or Administered before you can enter
statistics.
You may only
enter statistics for an instrument when you have appropriate
permissions in the originating, administration
study.

Include
|
A
checkmark in
the Include column indicates that this instrument is included in
this study. Clicking in the Include checkbox will indicate you want
to change the inclusion status of this instrument and exclude it
from your study.

uncheck the Include checkbox, Assessment Center will display a
Notes box, where you must enter information about why you chose to
exclude this instrument.

Hide
Excluded Instruments
|
When checked,
any instruments you decided not to include in your study will not
appear on your list of instruments. When unchecked, excluded
instrument names will appear at the bottom of your instrument list,
in Gray
text
|
Notes
|
Free-form text
box where you can enter information about why you chose to exclude
this instrument from your study.

field is only active once an instrument has had the inclusion
status modified.

Terms of
Use
|
Indicates
there are specific terms of use which must be reviewed and endorsed
prior to use of the instrument. Clicking on the symbol © will bring
up the Terms and Conditions for that
instrument.

have to accept the Terms and Conditions at this point. However, you
will need to accept the Terms and Conditions prior to opening an
instrument PDF, zip file or launching your study to data
collection. You may accept the terms and conditions for
individual instruments on either the Add an Instrument page or the
Study Content page. You may navigate to the Launch page or
Resources link to accept the Terms and Conditions for a group of
instruments, e.g. PROMIS instruments.

PDF
Icon
|
Indicates
there is a PDF version of this instrument, which you can
print. Clicking on
this icon will open the PDF version of the
instrument.

Item
ID
|
This is the
unique code associated with an item. You may click on the Item ID
hyperlink to view details of the item.
|
Item
Context and Stem
|
The item text
which will be displayed to study participants.
|
Item
Responses
|
The response
options associate with an item.
|
History
|
This hyperlink
displays the Item History page for an item.
|
Statistics
|
This hyperlink
will display the statistics established for this
item.

Administration
Study
|
This field
indicates the study from which an item originated.
